Nilveo is two words joined: Nil, the Nile, and veo, from the French voie — the way, the track laid between two points so that things can pass along it. The Nile's way. Where the goods begin, and how they travel.
Trade between the south and the north of this corridor is older than any border on it. Egyptian natron gave Europe its word for sodium. Baltic amber was buried with the pharaohs. For three thousand years merchants moved salt, resin, oil and scent along this line, and they did it by knowing two things well: what was truly good, and who truly needed it.
We were founded in the Middle East by people who grew up on that line — pharmacists and traders with long experience across the Gulf, Egypt and Europe. We saw excellent producers who could not reach the right buyers, and serious buyers who could not tell a good producer from a loud one. The gap between them is not distance. It is trust, documentation, and someone willing to stand in the middle and be accountable.
